First update

Okay, so the regular updates plan didn’t work out… But we didn’t forget about the Deep Sea Colony and are on the path to turning it into a full-fledged game!!! But we’re taking things slow.

After the Unity 2D Challenge, we backed up a little and started thinking about more detailed ideas for the game. We looked for some references for the mood and theme, read some books, watched some movies, typical work stuff.

While our ambitions for the Deep Sea Colony grew, we came to the conclusion, that we won’t be able to work on such a large project while working full time at the same time. So the project is on hold until we will be able to commit more time to it.

In the meantime, we decided to take on some smaller projects. The first one you can find on Unreal Engine Marketplace: Shadow Stealth, a UE4 plugin implementing “hide in the shadows” gameplay mechanic. We are also working on two more asset packs for Unreal Engine 4 and Unity.

Hello everyone!

This blog is meant to document our work on DEEP SEA COLONY, an underwater city builder game. We will post regular updates on our progress. We hope it will be an interesting reading for people curious about indie game development. But most of all we want it to be an additional incentive for us to keep working on the game 🙂

The project started as an entry for Unity 2D Challenge and quickly became something we wanted to make into a full game. We spent nearly 2 months working after hours on our submission and even used some leave days for crunch right before the deadline. We obviously didn’t do everything we planned but the end result is more then satisfying.
